A Way to Read the Bible…

I’m in the process of reading through the Bible. I have read through the Bible several times before but this time I wanted to change it up a bit.  I have decided to read through the entire Bible along with a commentator friend this time around. I have chosen to spend some time being mentored and taught mainly by Warren Wiersbe among some others.  I have been doing this the last year and this journey will probably take several more years. I was once told that if something is good than it probably is meant to be shared.

This blog is much more resource driven versus providing “free reign of my own thinking”, although there is some of that. I plan to blog each book summary as I move through it. There are three things to look for: The Green, the Black and the Brown.

  • The Green (or Blue in some cases) are thoughts from the commentator regarding a given section, chapter and/or verse.
  • The Black are the verses that “hit me”.
  • The Brown are my thoughts/comments in how God “came to me”.

I can’t say many thoughts are original as I clearly cite my authors, so once again use this as resource (I have mined the gems!).
